HOOVER, Ala. — Spain Park High School has placed head football coach David Shores on administrative leave effective late this afternoon.

The move is the result of an alleged incident that took place during Tuesday's practice.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

No decision has been made on Shores' replacement, but with the season scheduled to kick off this Friday, a school official says a new coach could be named as early as tomorrow.

This is David Shores' third season as head coach of the Jaguars.
