What's at Stake

UTEP enters the weekend in a four-way tie for the Conference USA West lead. The Miners, who rallied to beat Tulsa on Oct. 21, can get back to .500 against a UAB team playing its third straight road game. The Blazers are coming off their sloppiest performances of the season. UAB committed 15 penalties in a 27-7 loss to Marshall last Saturday.

Key Matchup

UAB's rushing game vs. UTEP's defense. Behind QB Joe Webb's 820 yards, the Blazers are eighth nationally in rushing and have gained more than 200 yards on the ground six times this season. UTEP has struggled stopping the run, yielding 214 yards per game.

Players to Watch

UAB: Webb is ninth in the nation in rushing yards per game. He has also thrown for 933 yards and seven TDs this season.

UTEP: RB Donald Buckram finished off his fourth 100-yard rushing game of the season by scoring the game-winner against Tulsa. The Miners came back from 11 down in the fourth quarter to beat the Golden Hurricane 28-24.
