A day after picking up a commitment from an ESPNU 150 Watch List tight end, Alabama picked up a pledge from speedy running back Corey Grant (Opelika/Opelika) Thursday.
Grant picked Alabama over Florida and Auburn.
As a junior last season, the 5-foot-10, 180-pounder had 88 carries for 724 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also caught 16 passes for 235 yards and two more scores and returned eight punts for 187 yards and returned five kickoffs for 97 yards. He was a Class 6A All-State honorable mention.
A track standout as well, Grant is the two-time defending Class 6A 100-meter champ with a best of 10.51.
