HOOVER --Georgia still has its black jerseys. Whether or not the Bulldogs ever wear them again is another story.
The last time Georgia did its "Blackout" -- complete with the players, coaches and fans all donning black -- visiting Alabama unleashed a 41-30 whipping on the then No. 3 Bulldogs. That was last September.
Any chance Georgia will give its gimmick another try?
"One thing about doing a blackout, if the fans don't buy into it, it's no good," Georgia coach Mark Richt said Thursday during SEC Media Days. "The fans have to cooperate. After what happened against Alabama last year, I'm not sure the fans will wear black again. But we do have the opportunity to do it again if we want because we still have the black jerseys."
