MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Auburn coach Jeff Lebo isn't quite ready to talk about his team's chances of making the postseason.
The fact that it's an issue for the Tigers (17-9, 6-5 Southeastern Conference) this late in the season is a switch. Their recent four-game winning streak has made them a stronger candidate for the NIT and even started to raise hopes of an NCAA tournament bid if Auburn keeps it up over the last five regular-season games and the SEC tourney.
The Tigers haven't been to either tournament in any of Lebo's four seasons.
Auburn hasn't won four straight SEC games since the 2003 team that advanced to the NCAA round of 16 under Cliff Ellis.
The Tigers will be looking for their first five-game league streak since 1999 when they visit to No. 23 LSU Saturday night. LSU is the SEC's hottest team with seven straight wins.
