TROY, Ala. (AP) - Jamie Hampton threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns as Troy won its home opener over Alcorn State 65-0 on Saturday night. The Trojans (2-0) set a school record for total offense in the win, outgaining the Braves (0-3) 736-120.
Hampton, who was removed from the game by the start of the second half, was 26 of 37 passing with two interceptions. The Troy quarterback also ran for 45 yards and a touchdown on 6 carries.
Maurice Green added 113 rushing yards and a touchdown on 9 carries for the Trojans, who led 52-0 by halftime.
