Patriots Thump Steelers To Stay Unbeaten

(AP) - The New England Patriots continued their march toward perfection yesterday while trampling on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the process.

The Patriots are 13-and-0 after a convincing 34-13 win over Pittsburgh, days after Steelers safety Anthony Smith guaranteed a victory by his team. Tom Brady passed for 399 yards and four touchdowns as the Pats became the fifth team in NFL history to start a season with 13 straight wins.

Randy Moss had touchdown catches of four and 63 yards in a 1:59 span of the first half. Brady also hit Jabar Gaffney for a 56-yard touchdown on a flea-flicker.

Brady is within four of tying Peyton Manning's record of 49 touchdown passes in a season.

The Steelers are 9-and-4, just a game ahead of second-place Cleveland in the AFC North.
