It's not everyday you get a chance to interview one of your heroes. I went home to my husband screaming, "I got to interview Dara Torres." Scott and I enjoyed watching her in the 2008 Olympic summer games. What an inspirational story...41 years old...mom of a 2 year old...and a world class athlete and lady. Watching her I felt like I could do anything. Dara is still training hard and planning on competing again..in the next Olympics? Who knows. I'll definitely be watching for her though and it certainly would not surprise me. She is also making her rounds telling women everywhere about how they can jumpstart their fitness routines and get their bones and muscles healthy. Go to www.whymilk.com for more information. Also, Dara has a book coming out called 'Age is Just a Number'. It certainly is!!!! Take one look at her in the milk ads and you'll think she's 21...not 41. My favorite part of the interview was finding out that Dara is such a genuinely nice person in real life.
