About students in the program:
Are between 15 and 18 years of age.
Are fluent in English and are tested by The Aspect Foundation before being accepted into the program.
Provide school transcripts and medical/health records for host families.
Are screened psychologically before being accepted and results are also provided.
Have their own spending money to cover their own expenses. In fact, it is against policy for host families and exchange students to loan or borrow money.
Have their own health insurance. They can go to the emergency room or doctor’s office. Deductibles and co pays are covered.
Can email their host family before coming to America and get to know them online before actually meeting them.
Are not problem students! These are good teens who share a dream – coming to and experiencing the American way of life. They live to receive a phone call from The Aspect Foundation’s foreign office informing them they have been chosen by an American family.
