Update from my friend Sheree Kanter. She and her husband David evacuated here after Katrina and ended up staying. Right now, she has a house full of evacuees from the New Orleans area.
As it looks now...... hopefully our city is ok?????
We still our somewhat glued to the tv.
With a house full of friends that includes 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 1 parakeet that they brought along, we are enjoying our time eating, drinking, and watching tv
Our moods are much more relaxed and just pray that the levees hold for everyone
