Landscape Lighting

Landscaping lights can really dress up your home at night. Washing the walls and trees with lights can make a home look much more inviting. There are several reputable local companies that can install your lights quickly. However, it can be much, much cheaper by doing it yourself. Many of the pros use larger lights than what you find at your local home improvement store. This is where the internet is a great asset! Yesterday I ordered 6 well lights. These are lights that are partially buried in the ground and shine upward onto a home. They use the larger halogen Par36 bulbs than what I can buy locally. Also, I found out that one of the local companies will allow you to purchase the lights to install yourself. I compared prices-it was cheaper to order over the internet. They are coming from Georgia and will arrive today. I suggest buying one of the larger professional low voltage transformers on the internet-they last much longer than what you can buy locally plus many of them have a photocell built right in.

Installation of low voltage lights is very easy. It does not require a permit or licensed electrician. The low voltage line is easy to bury and connect to the lights. Low voltage lights are east to install, cheap to buy and can make a major difference in the way your home looks.
