Birmingham developer offers college tuition with loft purchase

BIRMINGHAM, Ala-- If you buy a loft from one downtown developer you’ll get free college tuition at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

It’s a deal downtown developer Cityscape Group is offering in efforts to close deals.

With one and two bedroom units available at the Athens Flats, Cityscape is offering to pay undergraduate tuition to UAB, If you a buy, not rent, a new unit while inventory lasts.

On the heels of slumping July home sales and a market in which both local realtors and housing analysts describe as slowly recovering, sellers are getting creative when it comes to moving inventory.

Currently , prices for one or two bedroom units range from $135,000 to $305,000 dollars. Cityscape developer Adam Cohen says with rental activity high and a renewed interest in people moving back to the city center the offer is a deal that will pay off in the long run.
