GERALDINE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have identified an 81-year-old man who died when the tractor he was working on flipped over into a pond Wednesday.
Sheriff Jimmy Harris says Bobby Standridge was discovered dead in the pond on his property on County Road 360 in the New Harmony community.
Family members say he was working on the tractor with a front-end loader when the tractor rolled over on top of him. He became trapped when the tractor continued rolling into the pond.
County Coroner Tom Wilson was contacted and Standridge was pronounced dead at the scene.
