HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Madison County authorities have seized
thousands of pills and tens of thousands of dollars in the county's
biggest ever seizure of illegal prescription narcotics.
Madison County Sheriff's deputies teamed up with Madison Police
in serving a search warrant Friday morning. They arrested and
charged 27-year-old Christy McBride, and recovered 20,760 pills
ranging from diet pills and Xanax to Soma, and Morphine in a
storage shed in the northern part of Madison County.
The street value of the pills is $240,000. Authorities also
found 15 pounds of marijuana and $180,000 in cash.
Other arrests are pending.
