VANCE, Ala. (AP) - Ola Kaellenius, who took over as manager of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Alabama less than a year ago, has been named to head the company's high-performance vehicle subsidary in Germany.
Daimler AG announced Friday that Kaellinius would succeed Volker Mornhinweg as managing director of Mercedes-Benz AMG GmbH in Affalterbach, effective April 1.
The announcement says Mornhinweg will take over as head of the Mercedes-Benz Vans division effective April 1, succeeding Wolfgang Bernhard, who was appointed to Daimler AG's board of management last month.
The company says a replacement for Kaellenius will be named later.
