GADSDEN, Ala. (AP) - A Jacksonville teenager has waived extradition from West Virginia in the shooting death of a Gadsden teen, and police in Gadsden say they expect him back by the end of the week.

Gadsden Police Sgt. Tom Bradley says 17-year-old Travis Lamar Wilson Jr. appeared before a judge in West Virginia this week.

Pooice say a murder warrant has been obtained for Wilson, who will be charged as an adult in the March 7 shooting of 17-year-old Chris "Ceno" Hoyt.

Bradley says Gadsden officers will go to West Virginia to get Wilson and bring him back. He says Wilson will be held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.

Hoyt was shot soon after leaving a party about 12:45 a.m. March 7.
