DECATUR, ALA.: Ala. Man Indicted In Grandmother's Death

DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - A Morgan County grand jury has indicted a Decatur man in the beating death of his 88-year-old grandmother.
The grand jury returned a murder indictment against 20-year-old Lorenzo O'Bryan Langford in the beating death of Georgeann Sears.
Decatur police found Sears badly beaten in her Northwest Decatur home on Jan. 15. An ambulance took her to Decatur General Hospital and she was transported to Huntsville Hospital, where she died.
Police say Langford had lived with Sears and her family. An autopsy revealed the woman had a severe head injury and fractured
cervical spine caused by beating.
Langford remains in the county jail on $200,000 bond.
