HOOVER, AL- Early today officers from the Hoover Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Maurice Jerome Myers, 38, of Birmingham.
Myers was taken into custody at Devonshire Apartments, 2344 7th Place NW in Center Point.
Myers is charged with the October 22, 2009 burglary of Wolf Camera at Inverness Corners. He is also the suspect in other Hoover business burglaries that occurred in December.
Additional charges are pending.
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences analyzed evidence recovered at the scene by Hoover CSI Detectives. Detectives from the Hoover Police Department obtained a warrant on Myers following the results of the analysis.
Myers is currently in the Hoover City Jail awaiting transfer to the Shelby County Jail.
He is charged with Burglary 3rd degree, with a bond of $200,000.00.
Myers is also wanted on a probation violation warrant out of Jefferson County.
