CLANTON, Ala.: No Stunt: Chase Continues After Car Flips

»  Comments | Post a Comment

CLANTON, Ala. (AP) - Police officials say a chase through two Alabama counties included a moment that resembled a movie stunt:
the car being pursued flipped over but kept going.
Chilton County Sheriff Kevin Davis says the chase began on Monday when his department received a report of e items being
stolen from an auto supply store. Davis says an investigator saw a car fitting the right description and officers pursued it.
Davis says the car headed north on Interstate 65, turned in the median, dodged spike strips and wound up on Alabama Highway 143 in
Elmore County.
That's where Davis says the car flipped several times, landed upright and continued on.
Davis says the car finally was stopped and officers arrested 41-year-old Erby Shane Adams of Anniston. Charges were still being
determined.
