Early today officers from the Hoover Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Gulf
Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Kelvin Lamar Armstrong in Midfield,
Alabama. Armstrong is a former delivery driver for PharMerica pharmaceuticals in
Hoover.
On December 27, 2009 Armstrong began his delivery route with $12,000.00 of
prescription medications, including controlled narcotics, enroute to Huntsville, Alabama.
The following day Armstrong reported that he was forced off the interstate and robbed of
the shipment in Cullman. The investigation revealed that Armstrong never left the
Birmingham area.
Armstrong is currently in the Hoover City Jail awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County
Jail.
He is charged with Theft of Property 1st degree with a bond of $10,000.00.
