BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — It's widely accepted that breathing in secondhand smoke can lead to problems with your physical health.

Now there's word it could also impact your mental health.

Researchers in London followed more than 8000 adults for six years.

Non-smokers who had the most exposure to secondhand smoke were more likely to suffer from psychological problems.

Although the overall risk was low, they were also more likely to be hospitalized for depression, schizophrenia or other mental health conditions.
