One person is dead and 5 others injured after a crash late Friday night in Center Point.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says a vehicle speeding down Center Point Parkway rear-ended another vehicle that pulled out from 14th Avenue Northeast.
The speeding vehicle was pushed into a tree and caught fire. The driver of the car that was rear-ended died.
At last check, a pregnant woman was in critical condition at UAB Hospital with a head injury. Two injured children are at Children's Hospital: 1 in critical condition, the other in stable conditino.
Two people from the car that struck them were treated at UAB Hospital for minor injuries.
