New research says regular consumption of soft drinks could increase the risk of pancreatic cancer.
The study from the University of Minnesota followed thousands of people for 14 years.
Those who drank two or more soft drinks a week were 87% more likely to have pancreatic cancer, than those who never drank sodas.
Researchers believe the high levels of sugar in soft drinks increase insulin levels in the body, which contributes to pancreatic cancer cell growth.
