A large water main break in Center Point this morning damaged a busy road, and caused other property damage.
The break happened just before 10:00am CT today near the Whataburger restaurant on Center Point Parkway.
Workers were trying to establish water service for a new car wash business in the area, when they damaged an 8" water line.
Water was spraying into the air, and damaged the road and blew out a window in a car.
All southbound traffic on Center Point Parkway is closed, and the northbound lanes have been converted temporarily into north and southbound lanes.
There is no word on when the break will be repaired, and traffic will be back to normal.
