AUBURN, Ala-- With the Iron Bowl falling on the day after Thanksgiving, many fans decided to take the turkey celebration to the game.
We found plenty of fans getting the tailgate started early in Auburn Thursday.
Some tailgaters prepared turkey with all the fixings.
And even though they're mortal enemies today, Alabama and Auburn fans broke bread together in harmony.
Alabama Fan Raymond Jewell said, “We do get along great. Everyone gets along here. I came with one of my employees from Missouri who went to Auburn. It’s fantastic. We had a great time together.”
“It was awesome. We had a great time. All the food came together. Everyone brought something. We got turkeys from the Creole Shack, it was nice to sit down and be outside. It was fabulous,” said Auburn Fan Sharon Halstead.
Many people we talked to said it was their first Thanksgiving tailgating and probably not their last.
