MORROW, Ga. (AP) - Georgia fire officials say a blaze that
destroyed a Clayton County church was caused by arson, and a
$10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an
arrest.
The Calvary Church in Morrow burned to the ground when it caught
fire sometime before 4 a.m. Sunday.
Glenn Allen, spokesman for Georgia Insurance and Fire Safety
Commissioner John Oxendine, says investigators descovered traces of
an accelerant that had been used to start the fire.
Oxendine's arson investigators are coordinating the
investigation, and Allen says the commissioner's office is looking
for the public's help.
No one was hurt in the blaze that started in the rear of the
wood-framed building.
