MADRID, Ala. (AP) - An owner of a Houston County nightclub says
he won't reopen it until he gets legal advice on how to operate it
after an accusation that it allowed too much nudity.
Brad Nelson, who says he's meeting with lawyers, says he shares
ownership of Secrets Gentlemen's Club with Michael Gene Cox.
The 39-year-old Cox, of Lynn Haven, Fla. was one of two people
arrested at the club last weekend. Deputies charged him with
allowing too much nudity, defined as nudity above the waist.
Houston County Sheriff's Capt. Antonio Gonzalez says
investigators also arrested 33-year-old Cynthia Best of Cottondale,
Fla., a dancer at the club, on a cocaine possession charge.
Gonzalez says investigators did not see alcohol for sale, and
that the club did not have a liquor license. But he says they saw
alcohol on the premises.
