Video: Thieves take man's prosthetic arm

»  Comments | Post a Comment

An Omaha, Nebraska man is hoping police can catch up with the thieves who stole his prosthetic arm.

Brian, who didn't want to use his last name, says he hasn't placed what it would cost to replace the arm, but knows it would be expensive since they are fitted to each individual.

It was originally given to him by the Shriners.

"I've had it since I was about 16 or 17, and they hooked me up with it because I was underage and a minor, and they do that kind of stuff, but now that I'm over 18, I'm fending for myself and those things are not cheap," he said.

What's worse, Brian knows the thieves probably have no use for the arm.

"I don't think they knew what was in the bag, they probably just grabbed it and took off," he explained.

Brian hopes someone, somewhere knows where his arm is, and helps him get it back.
