Video: Sarah Palin settles scores with McCain campaign in new memoir

Is it a book launch or a way to settle scores?

Sarah Palin's much anticipated autobiography hits store shelves on Tuesday, the answer seems to be: It's all of the above.

"Going Rogue" was on sale a day early at a store not far from the White House, and many believe she's already campaigning for the 2012 presidential nomination.

"She'd love to be in the White House," says Republican strategist Jack Burkman. "I think that's her ultimate goal. I think that's her number one goal, but like a lot of us, we feel, well, if we don't hit the top, maybe we'll be a best-selling author and a talk-show host, maybe we'll be something else, something else. I mean, I think right now, she's focused on maximizing exposure."

Palin was on "Oprah" Monday, but wouldn't comment on a possible run.

"I'm concentrating on 2010 and making sure we have issues tackled as Americans, to make sure we're on the right road," she told Oprah Winfrey.

What Palin does tell in her book is how much she blames McCain staffer Nicole Wallace for setting up the disastrous interview with Katie Couric.

Palin also writes that she resents top McCain strategist Steve Schmidt,
for, she claims, forcing her to talk positively of her daughter's teen pregnancy.

Schmidt has denied her allegations and dismissed her as a possible winning candidate in 2012.
