Three firefighters are recovering today, after a fire burned a Gadsden house.
It happened just after 5:00pm CT Monday, November 16, 2009, on Scenic Drive on Lookout Mountain.
When crews arrived, they saw flames shooting from the house.
Chief Stephen Carroll of the Gadsden Fire Department tells NBC13HD News the residents escaped, and were unharmed.
Firefighters entered the structure to fight the fire, and two of them received 1st and 2nd degree burns.
Another firefighter suffered a neck injury.
The fire was brought under control about 6:45pm CT.
A floor in the house collapsed.
Chief Carroll says a resident was working on a gas tank, when fuel spilled and ignited.
