INFORMATION FROM THE BIRMINGHAM POLICE DEPARTMENT:
BIRMINGHAM-Birmingham P.D. is investigating the city's 57th homicide. It happened on Monday around 5:30 p.m.
Officers from the East Precinct responded to the 7700 block of 4th Avenue South to investigate a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located the victim inside a Nissan Maxima unresponsive. Further investigation revealed that the victim was suffering from several gunshot wounds. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
The victim’s identity will be released pending notification of family.
This case is under investigation. No arrests have been made.
