Lane closure slated for bridge work in Tuscaloosa

The Alabama Department of Transportation will be doing routine bridge maintenance on the Woolsey Finnell Bridge tomorrow, November 5, 2009.
That bridge crosses the Black Warrior River and Rice Mine Road in Tuscaloosa.
The outside lane in the westbound direction will be closed during this operation, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 9:30 a.m.
Stationary and slow-moving vehicles, along with dismounted personnel will be present in the work zone during this time.
Motorists should be alert to signs, message boards, and personnel on the ground, and use extreme caution while traveling this section of highway.
Motorists should expect delays.
Alternate routes that motorists should consider during this time will be Hugh Thomas Bridge at Lurleen Wallace Boulevard, the Paul Bryant Black Warrior River Bridge, and the Northport-Tuscaloosa Western Bypass Toll Bridge.
