A small earthquake was recorded in central Alabama Tuesday.

A small earthquake was recorded in central Alabama Tuesday.
According to the United State Geological Survey, a 2.5 magnitude quake happened about 6:27 p.m. CT Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
The epicenter was 4 miles west of Ragland, and about 38 miles from Birmingham.
A St. Clair County dispatcher says there were no reports of damage, or anyone calling into central dispatch.
There have been at least 3 small earthquakes in Alabama in the last six months.
