Two men have been arrested on burglary charges in Hoover, after in investigation shows the suspects may have used Facebook.com in their crimes.
According to a news release from the Hoover Police Department, the suspects would allegedly check the Facebook.com profiles of people that they either knew, or were "friends of friends."
The information that the victims were out of town was posted on Facebook profiles. That was the method used to target the victims.
The burglaries happened between July 12, and July 22, 2009.
Tyler Austin Glass, 20, of Bessemer, is charged with five counts of Burglary.
Spencer Collin Shivers, 19, of Hoover, faces Burglary and Receiving Stolen Property charges.
