Fire fatality in Tuscaloosa County

A man dies in a Wednesday morning house fire in Duncanville.

An investigation is underway to find out why a man died in a house fire in Tuscaloosa County.
The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, along with Duncanville VFD ,Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue and Northstar Ambulance responded to a house fire in the 13000 block of Double Gate Estates about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009.
Emergency crews found a male victim, who later died from the fire.
The exact cause of death is unknown at this time.
The victim has not been positively identified and a person that was at the scene of the fire along with other potential witnesses are being interviewed at this time to try and determine what caused the fire.
The State Fire Marshall’s Office is also helping in the investigation.
