Gas prices across Ala. go up overnight

According to a survey from AAA, Monday's statewide average price for a gallon of regular is $1.54. That's a penny higher than Sunday's average. The national average for regular is $1.67. Other motors fuels also climbed. Midgrade averaged $1.65 and premium cost $1.70 a gallon. Mobile area motorists are paying the highest metro average for regular at $1.59. The cheapest city average was found in Birmingham at $1.50 a gallon.

Retail gasoline prices across Alabama
are on the rise due in part to heightened tensions in the Middle
East and cutbacks in oil production.

According to a survey from AAA, Monday's statewide average price
for a gallon of regular is $1.54. That's a penny higher than
Sunday's average.

The national average for regular is $1.67.

Other motors fuels also climbed. Midgrade averaged $1.65 and
premium cost $1.70 a gallon.

regular at $1.59. The cheapest city average was found in Birmingham
at $1.50 a gallon.
