Hueytown Police are now saying a domestic situation turned into a murder-suicide.
HPD Chief Chuck Hagler tells NBC13HD News a man apparently shot and killed his mother-in-law, shot his wife in the head, and then shot and killed himself.
It happened about 7:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008, on Carver Avenue in Hueytown.
Neighbors reported to police hearing gunshots in the house about that time.
Authorities made no contact with anyone there, and SWAT was called in.
The incident ended just before 11:00 a.m. with the two adults found dead, one woman injured, and a child uninjured.
Indentities are expected to be released, after family members are notified.
