Gasoline Tanker Truck Overturns In Tuscaloosa

A gasoline tanker truck overturned in Tuscaloosa, killing the driver, and is leaking fuel.

Some streets in Tuscaloosa remain closed at this time, after a gasoline tanker truck overturned.
It happened about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at the intersection of Greensboro Avenue, and 10th Avenue and 35th Street.
A Tuscaloosa Police officer says the truck appears to have been turning off 35th Street onto Greensboro Avenue, when it flipped.
The truck driver died on the scene.
Gasoline did leak out of the tanker area, but how much is unknown at this time.
Officials closed off a ¼ mile radius around the wreck.
