Tyler Perry is one of the biggest names in entertainment and could probably clean up in the female department.
But as Samantha Harris found out, the rising star is happy to be a single man.
Sanaa lathan may be beautiful as a bride, but it's tyler perry who has people doing double takes thanks to his new do in the film "The Family That Preys" out September 12.
"Tyler is amazing, we were constantly like, 'where do you get the energy?' Because he wrote it, he directed it, he produced it."
And despite all his success both on the big and small screens, Tyler told us he's often overlooked on the red carpet.
"That happened to me at the MTV Movie Awards. I stepped out on the carpet and they say, "Ladies and Gentleman, Tyler Perry.' one camera guy goes click that was it.
Taraji P. Henson and Sanaa play sisters in the movie -- also starring Kathy Bates and Robin Givens -- about two families whose friendship is put to the test because of an infidelity.
And it's a very *big name -- Oprah -- who partly inspired Ttyler to pen his movie. The 38-year old actor shares a close friendship with the talk queen -- which can sometimes lead to rumors ... like when they were snapped together on vacation.
"When the guy took the picture she said that 'you know this is gonna be some foolishness in the tabloids. Just get ready.'"
