The Internal Revenue Service has more
than $4 million it wants to distribute in Alabama. But it can't
find the people who are supposed to receive it.

IRS spokesman Dan Boone said more than 5,300 economic stimulus
checks and more than 1,500 regular tax refund checks were returned
by the U.S. Postal Service due to mailing address errors in
Alabama.

The IRS says all taxpayers have to do is update their addresses
and they will get their money. There's a deadline of Nov. 28 to
update an address to receive an economic stimulus check.

Taxpayers can update their addresses on the IRS Web site
http://www.irs.gov or by calling 1-800-829-1954 for regular tax
returns and 1-866-234-2942 for economic stimulus checks.
