Man Shoots Would-Be Robber in Pleasant Grove

Police said the man was checking on his parents home when the shooting occurred.

A pair of would-be robbers startled a man checking on his parents home, but police said what they didn't know, is they weren't the only ones with a gun.
Pleasant Grove police say that man, shot one of the two men and the other took off.

According to the Pleasant Grove Police Chief William Waites said a man went to check on his parents home on Newberry Drive when two men pulled in the driveway behind him pulled a gun and attempted to rob him.

The man was also carrying a gun and shot and killed one of the men.

The other person ran.

Pleasant Grove police along with Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies have been searching for the second person using a road block and helicopters.

So far, he has not been found.
