The state of Alabama has agreed to settle Medicaid drug pricing lawsuits it filed against prescription drug manufacturer Bristol Myers Squibb and four other companies.

That word comes from lawyers for the state.

They say final details in the Briston Myers Squibb case and three others are still being resolved.

Attorney General Troy King said Friday the final details should be finished within 30 days.

One case has been concluded. King said the state has settled its case against Ethex Corp. for $2 million and filed a motion to
dismiss the suit.

The five firms are among more than 70 drug companies Alabama has sued for allegedly overcharging its Medicaid program. Earlier this
year, state juries returned multimillion-dollar verdicts against three of the pharmaceuticals.
