No more periods in 90 seconds.

With a simple doctor's visit, women are putting an end to that "time of the month."

Alanna Fickes is 34 years old and she'll never have a period again.

"The pregnancies were wonderful, our lives are wonderful, so we're complete," said Fickes.

Her family of four complete, Alanna decided to stop her heavy periods.

"My first three days were very heavy and then I would spot for seven days which would get really old," said Fickes.

Doctor Dennis Eisenberg an ob-gyn recommended a newer method of endometrial ablation.

"This is just a new technique that makes it more simple, much easier on the patient and the doctor," said Dr. Eisenberg.

This is for women who don't want any or any more children.

Performed in a doctor's office in 90 seconds, cells on the lining of the uterus are burned.

75 percent of patients never menstruate again, the others have light spotting once a month.

"They'll still maintain their same hormonal fluctuations but they won't bleed with their cycles," said Eisenberg.

"I took some medicine, went to bed and woke up in the morning and if I had a job, I could have gone to work the next day," said Fickes.

That time of the month behind her, Alanna can now focus fully on her two little girls.
