BIRMINGHAM- Alabama state troopers say a pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a car while walking along Interstate 459 in Irondale, a community near Birmingham.
Troopers said 32-year-old Christopher Cope of Leeds man was hit by a vehicle near mile marker 29. The accident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
No charges were filed against the driver from South Carolina.
Troopers are handling the investigation.
