MOULTON, Ala. (AP) - Three head of cattle that escaped a sale barn on Alabama 157 were still missing Friday after a two-day rampage that resulted in three wrecks. Instead of loading into a trailer, about 20 head scattered throughout Moulton on Wednesday. Authorities believe at least some of the bovines were Black Angus, making them especially elusive for police and dangerous to motorists at night.

Police Chief Lyndon McWorter said one landed on the hood of Capt. Damon Morgan's vehicle about 11 p.m. on Market Street. Dispatchers received the first call about lose cattle around 6 p.m. Wednesday, and continued to receive calls until about noon Thursday.

No humans were hurt, but one of the cattle died in a collision and another suffered injuries.
