ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) - It's a battle -- over a penny. And it pits the city of Attleboro, Massachusetts, against an elderly blind woman.

The city sent 74-year-old Eileen Wilbur a letter threatening to put a lien on her home, because of a one-cent overdue water bill.

City officials say a computer automatically prints letters regarding overdue accounts.

Wilbur's daughter, Rose Brederson, discovered the bill in her mother's mail. Brederson tells The Sun Chronicle newspaper it's "ridiculous."
