VALHERMOSO SPRINGS, Ala. (AP) - Investigators are looking for
$15,000 worth of stolen Brangus cows less than two weeks after
deputies arrested two men for allegedly stealing cattle at Oden
Ridge.
Morgan County Chief Deputy Mike Corley said the owner reported
15 black cows stolen out of a herd of 100 from his pasture on
Bowers Road between Oct. 18 and Nov. 7.
The Oden Ridge cattleman told investigators he saw tire tracks
in his field where someone backed in and put grain on the ground as
a lure before rounding up the cows.
These latest incidents come after what Corley said had been a
long absence of livestock theft.
Deputies arrested 21-year-old Carl Michael Rauch of Vinemont and
24-year-old David Allen Henderson of Falkville for allegedly
stealing six cows reported stolen Oct. 28.
