Because of high gas prices, buyers are driving away from buying vehicles with big engines. Many people are trading in their SUV's for smaller cars but the return on trucks isn’t good for owners or dealers. Even standard cars aren't selling as well as compact economy vehicles. Dealerships are jumping through hoops to get you to buy especially when it comes to trucks. Nothing But Trucks will give away free gas for a year to anyone who buys a diesel truck this holiday weekend. Dealers will continue to watch the price at the pump. Nothing but trucks general manager, Mike Williams said “We just had a customer trading a Honda on a Hyundai. Everyone is trying to leverage their gas mileage right now." Williams predicts, until fuel prices plummet only sales for cars will continue to soar.
