BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities believe they've broken up a major burglary ring and arrested three people who targeted homes in Birmingham, Jefferson and Blount counties.
Jefferson County sheriff's detectives said in a statement Wednesday that each were charged with 3rd degree burglary.
Authorities got a break in the case on May 6th when they recovered stolen jewelry from a local pawn shop and impounded a vehicle that was seen at some of the burglaries.
Investigators said numerous stolen items were seized from the car and a residence in Bessemer.
Arrested were 29-year-old Jimmy Neal Eady of Arab; 28-year-old Charles Caldwell of Birmingham; and 24-year-old Meghan Weimann of Bessemer.
The sheriff's office said additional charges are pending.
