MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Soldiers assigned to an Army National Guard unit based in Cullman are coming home after serving a year in Iraq.

The 150 members of Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 167th Infantry are scheduled to return Thursday to a brief welcome-home ceremony at the Cullman County Fairgrounds. Soldiers will be bused from Camp Shelby near Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The 167th's mission included guarding supply convoys in Kuwait and Iraq.

Another Alabama military unit in Iraq also is scheduled to return next month. 170 soldiers assigned to Dothan-based 1203rd Engineer Battalion are expected to return around the first week of June.
